This day-in-the-life look (NYT) at two of the many, many homeless students in New York is heartbreaking. 34,000 kids sleep in shelters every night in New York. Loved this Glamour piece on romance novels. Here’s to taking away the stigma of “guilty pleasures”!
High-waisted pants forever! (I am grateful that “low-riders” were in style when I was 15, because that is the only time I could ever have worn them and been comfortable.)
We continue to be Chanel Miller’s number 1 stans over here.
Personally, I can’t wait until Instagram removes likes for me.
Loved this profile of the hosts of one of my all-time favorite podcasts, “Keep It.” Louis’ encyclopedic knowledge of the Oscars continues to astound me, and Ira’s laugh is delightful.

Baffled by why the Christian Right seems to adore Donald Trump? I mean, join the club. But this Rolling Stone article has an interesting take.
I’m newly obsessed with King Princess, and this article about the subject of one of her SNL performances made me lol.
I love reading about the minutiae of people’s beauty routines, and Ali Wong’s is no exception.
Please let me ruin your day with one of my favorite articles about eating disorders.

I think I post one weird logistic-y or behind the scenes article…every week in The Reading List. This week, it’s about the launch of apples! I know, it sounds crazy, but it’s super interesting. Trust me on this one.
I found out about the above article in the “Morning Brew” newsletter, which is one that I really enjoy. It comes every morning, but it’s a good mix of pop culture and business and news.
Yes, Let us never forget the Clarendon Cheesecake Factory riot.
Inspirational thing I bought myself this week: this Emily McDowell journal, even though I am decidedly not a journal person tbh. I’d like to be, but I also know myself. I’m thinking about using this as a training log for running and stuff, but I just really liked the message.
If you ever want to sleep soundly again, avoid this article.
And to end on a slightly up note, Big Bird and the gang are amazing, and I loved this article in The Washington Post about how Sesame Street taught us all to be nice.
